First of all WTWizard you have no proof the Watchtower or the Governing Body is behind this...so let's keep all the trilateral Illuminati conspiracies out of this. A more plausible scenario is that the producers have experienced issues with people "lending" out DVD's to others who burn and then "lend" out to someone else. I bet it is more a issue JW's created by trying to brag to all their friends about how normal they are. I think tuesday had the best idea as to how to get your videos back up. B_deserter sending a email like this is common. Google Howard's Forums and Mobi TV, Mobi TV tried to pull some major bullshit which backfired completely. We should digg this and get some bad publicity on the producers. Thats the best way to stop something like this.

I would guess your just part of a bigger picture. We know there were issues with people bootlegging copies to their JW and non JW friends trying to use it to impress. This is probably causing blanket action on anything publicly viewed. They probably don't care what context it is in, just that is is being used for your own personal gain. They obviously would not care if it was a snippet directing and convincing viewers to buy it. Just the way Copyright goes, I wouldn't get too bent out of shape. If you want I am sure one of us will endure 20 minutes of a public talk to film someone lowering their hand.
With fair use you still have to give credit to your source. Perhaps there is a lawyer in the house? Especially a copyright lawyer?

Mystery Science Theater 3000 always had references to JW's. One of my favorites was a zombie movie and two zombies come to a house. Over dubbed is "Hello there Jehovah's Wittnesses!". Out comes the guy with the shotgun or whatever weapon he had and blows them away. I by no means endorse violence against dubs but damn it was hilarious.

Neat Thing To Do.......
by Outaservice ini noticed on the news the other night that there are now paparazzi companies that you can hire for yourself.
you get a limo and wherever you let them know you're going they will show up with a hoard of photographers as you get out of the limo with all the fanfare!.
this would be great to do if you had to attend a kingdom hall for some reason (memorial, funeral, wedding, etc.

Well, we went out after the memorial....
by megawatt inafter the memorial, we decided to go out and grab a bite to eat.
my family and i went out with a witness couple that we consider close friends.
for the last couple of weeks, i've expressed my views re: wts to my good friend openly and turns out he had the same thoughts and doubts as well.

That really sucks about your friend not being able to hang with you. My good friends wife recently did the same thing because I spoke out publicly on a myspace blog....she was all good to stay in my house and drink my beer but the moment I make fun of JW brass thinking I'm evil. Anyways long story short she ended up cheating on my friend. So it just goes to show usually if someone is being a punk/bitch the dirt come up and their caught red faced. Good luck with your wife though, at least it seems she loves you for you.
